“Wingspun” at the Raleigh Durham International Airport, International Arrivals Hall, features an 800-footlong suite of 185 continuous laminated glass panels with custom painted PVB interlayer on each lite. Glass fabricator H. Westphal GmbH & Co. KG, Enger, Germany, used the HOAF Infrared Technology Heatbox 420 to create the panels. Two reception desks at the W hotel Foshay Minneapolis feature glass provided by NGI Designer Glass Inc. in Concord, Ontario.Thirty-three pieces of ¾-inch Starphire glass were individually programmed with all four back sides mitered at different angles, all four front sides beveled, all UV glued, with a second layer of 6-mm acid-etched bent Starphire glass to diffuse the light. The glass also has an anti-scratch coating.
